takes place before the episode "The Real Folk Blues Pt. 1" (which is the first part of the last episode). It plays out the events that ocur before Spike and Vicious have their final battle to save Julia.

Spike pulls the Swordfish II into the docking bay of the Bebop, where Jet meets him, a look of utter confusion on his face. "SPIKE!? What are you doing here?! More importantly, HOW are you still ALIVE!?!? I saw you get shot...? Spike just stared at him, yawned, and shrugged his shoulders. "Easy Jet, i was never dead. I had a feeling Vicious' henchmen would resort to shooting at me, because i knew Vicious would never try to negotiate to let Julia live for 20 million woolong, or ANY amount of money."
"But... that doesn't explain how you survived."
Spike sighed and stared at Jet, then said very matter-of-factly, "If i knew they were going to shoot me, wouldn't you think i'd wear a bullet proof vest?" Jet couldn't believe his ears, and shouted at Spike, "WHAT IF THEY SHOT YOU IN THE HEAD!?!?" Spike just stood there scratching his head. "Oh, yeah, i didn't think about that." Jet, exasperated, just fell on the floor in disbelief.

(If anyone is actually reading this, i'll try to post a new installment every day or so, ok?)

The Red Comet

Spike, Jet, and Faye are all standing on the bridge of the Bebop. Spike turns to look at Jet. "So, what is on the menu for today?" Jet hits some of the keys on the computer. "Hiro Kasuke, wanted for triple homicide, armed robbery, and resisting arrest." Spike blinked a few times and looked at Jet. "Resisting arrest? Doesn't that sort of go without saying?" Jet glared at him. "Don't be a wise-guy, i'm just reading what's on the report." Spike threw his hands up in the air as a sign of apology. "Ok, then, what's his background?" Jet sighed at him, and continued to read, "He used to work at an industrial chemical factory making metal polish, caustic cleaners, and the like. He went on the lam after what was left of one of his victims was found in a vat of hydrochloric acid. He was last seen on Mars Commercial/ Residential Orbital Station 7. He has a bounty of....50 million woolongs? That can't be right, 50 million seems a little too high for this guy. We need to be careful, there's gotta be something psychologically wrong with him.
Spike turns around and heads toward the docking bay. "Well, let's get to it so we can get some food, i'm starving."

Spike hits the acceleration on the Swordfish II and heads toward the nearest hyperspace gate. After exiting the gate, he gets a perfect few of Mars and its surrounding colonies. "Well, tim to head to MCROS7." He directs his ship to the south side of the planet, where MCROS7 would be in its current orbit.
Once he landed, he headed for the nearest bar to see if he couldn't find someone who had seen Kasuke lately. He walked in and sat down on a stool. The bartender looked up at him from the glass he was cleaning. "What can i get you?" Spike thought about it for a second. "A bottle of Lao Chu. By the way, have you seen a man by the name of Hiro Kasuke around here recently?" The bartender scratched his head for a second, and then pointed out the window. "Yeah he was here yesterday. He said he was staying somewhere in town when i asked if he was from here."
Spike smiled, paid for the bottle, picked it up and walked out, waving over his head as he did. "Thanks for the help!"
