I have made some minor revisions to the rules, and made them a bit more relaxed. Please do not take advantage of this or I will change it again.

OK. so just seconds ago i was informed by my brother that there is a live action movie of dragonball z coming out in 2008. xD i really dont know when, but just google that sht! it's gonna be sick. then why am i in the rumor discussion area? sigh* anyway. check it out. we soo need to get a group to watch this. there are no trailers out for the movie just quite yet. but when there is i'll def post that. but DAMN! im soo psyched

Ok, so now we add a freebody diagram...

So, we need to find the angle that the handle makes witht the suitcase.

sin@ = 33.47/43 inverse sin, algebra stuff....

anyway, @ = 51.1 degrees

Now, we need to find FN (normal force) of the suitcase

Use a sum of forces equation (mg is negative because it goes down)

The sum is 0 bcecause a (acceleration) = 0 and ΣF = ma so if a = 0 then ma = 0 hence ΣF = 0

g (acceleration due to gravity) = 9.8 on earth (and for all purposes, we are moving this suitcase on earth)

ΣF= FN + 43sin51.1 - mg = 0
FN = mg - 43sin51.1
FN = (18 x 9.8 ) - 43sin51.1
FN = 142.94 N

Ok, only one more thing...

the soefficient of friction (μk)

fk = μk x FN
27 = μk x 142.94
27/142.94 = μk
μk = .19

Well, there you go. The physics (most of it anyway) involved with moving a suitcase. Smile

Rumor has it that BONES is going to continue working on Eureka 7, whether it is a new movie or another series. I cant wait!
